Speedwell Cavern Logo

Speedwell Cavern is one of the four show caves in Castleton, Derbyshire, England. The cave system consists of a horizontal lead miners' adit below ground leading to the cavern itself. This is reflected in the circular symbol which is intersected by stalactites and stalagmites denoting the cavern ahead.

The reversed version of the primary logo gives the impression of being inside the cavern and looking out towards the light.

This super clean design featured in the fourth edition of the logo design book series Los Logos but was ultimately rejected by the client.
